This Policy has been created in order to demonstrate and inform you of our firm commitment to privacy and to outline how we deal with any personal data you provide while visiting this Site. This Policy applies only to information collected through this Site and not to information collected offline or through any other websites (even if affiliated with OHI or linked to by this Site).

1. The Information We Collect

There are two kinds of information websites can obtain about you:

(A) Anonymous Information
“Anonymous Information” is data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual; therefore it is not considered personal data. Anonymous Information is aggregate data that websites use to administer their sites. This Anonymous Information comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you, and may include such information as your browser type or your Internet Protocol (IP) address (if not deleted, clipped or anonymized). OHI may from time to time retain third parties to help us collect and aggregate Site information.

IP Addresses
An IP address is a unique string of numbers that is assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our Site, avoid hacking attacks on the Site’s servers, and may use it to gather broad demographic information. We do not link IP addresses to any personally identifiable information, even if such information is voluntarily provided by a user; therefore it is not considered personal data.

Cookie Information
As is the case with many websites, our Site uses a technology called “cookies”, which are small data files that are downloaded onto your computer. The use of cookies is standard on the Internet, and allows us to tailor your visits to our Site to your individual preferences but they do not contain personal data about you. We also may contract with third party service providers who assign cookies and/or web beacons to conduct site tracking for us. These companies use cookies solely to provide us with aggregate data about Site traffic. Although most web browsers automatically accept cookies, you can change your browser to prevent cookies or notify you whenever you are sent a cookie. Even without accepting a cookie, you can still access most of the features on our Site.

(B) Personally Identifiable Information
“Personally Identifiable Information” is any information that personally identifies you, such as your name, email address or your telephone number. When a clinician creates an account with PreViser in order to access the Oral Health Information Suite (“OHIS”) of oral health assessment tools, he/she provides personal information needed to identify use of the OHIS, place the dentist’s name on patient’s reports, etc. The OHIS also stores statistical usage data in relation to each registered user.  We also use LiveChat to handle customer enquiries in real time. We will collect your given name and email address and the contents of your live chat session.

2. How We Use Gathered Information
The information you share with us may be used in a few ways:

(A) Anonymous Information
Anonymous Information is used internally for Site administration, troubleshooting, and to help improve the quality of this Site and its design. We may share such aggregated, non-personally identifiable information, such as demographics, with existing and prospective business partners and advertisers.

(B) Personally Identifiable Information:
Personally Identifiable Information collected by OHI may be used for purposes including administration of the Site, forum registration, enrolment in and administration of services offered by OHI and its third-party providers (including without limitation the online electronic payment service administered by PayPal and customer support functionality provided by LiveChat), and communications with you. We share Personally Identifiable Information you provide in enrolment forms or otherwise provide in connection with enrolment in and/or services offered through the Site, including without limitation the online electronic payment service provider, with our third-party service providers as necessary to provide such services to you. In all cases, however, we will only use your information as permitted by law. Most commonly, we will use your personal data were we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered with you, where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests or where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation. In general, we do not rely upon consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data. We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

3. Security
Security of information communicated by or to us over the Internet is of utmost concern to us; however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. This Site incorporates reasonable safeguards to protect the security, integrity and privacy of the personal information we have collected. We have put in place reasonable precautions to protect information from loss, misuse and alteration, including Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and database encryption. Please do not use email to communicate information to us that you consider confidential. While we strive to protect your personal information, PreViser cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or through this Site.

4. Disclosure of Information Through Business Transfers
As we continue to develop our business, we may buy, merge or partner with other companies or businesses, and in so doing, acquire customer information. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets. Similarly, in the event that a portion or substantially all of OHI’s assets are sold or transferred to a third party, customer information (including Personally Identifiable Information) would likely be one of the transferred business assets (to be used in the same way as set out in this privacy notice).

5. Where we store your personal data
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers (including PreViser US). Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the provision of the PreViser software to you, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. OHI will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy. Please contact us if you want further information on the specific mechanism used by us when transferring your personal data outside of the EEA.

If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

7. Your rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. For example, you have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. You can also exercise your individual rights under data protection law at any time by contacting us at

However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.  If you use LiveChat for communicating with us, you can receive a copy of your chat transcript on request at the end of the session.

9. Modifications to Privacy Policy
OHI may modify this Policy at any time, at its discretion, and modifications are effective upon being posted on this Site. You are responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes to it.

10. Patient Privacy
Although it is necessary for administrative purposes for OHI to collect personal information from clinicians using the PreViser software, we do not collect or store Personal Health Information (PHI) through this website and in any case when it is collected using the PreViser software is it used in encrypted and de-identified form.
